THE MUSIC PODCAST: 105 (TRAIL)
"This first of my two Festive editions begins with the first of two pieces we should hear more often. It's music written to accompany the ultimate journey for a wise man by film composer Anthony DiLorenzo, the other is our finale, John Golland’s powerful collection of seasonal classics Dies Natalis, which I have happily just discovered.
In between, Steve Stewart excels in an exciting arrangement of Gaudate; Foden’s do a brilliant job of Stopping the Cavalry, and one of my favourite ensembles London Brass, go Dinging and Donging.
And you can hear a complete track from the programme, completely free in our Track of the Week section here.
