Black Dyke play the very challenging Challenging Brass by Gilbert Vinter, Fodens play original music by Andy Scott, Grimethorpe romp through Fucik’s Florentiner March as only Grimethorpe can, and Desford under James Watson give us a quite sublime reading of the Arioso by Handel.
Finally the Brass Band of Central Florida play excerpts from Music of the Spheres by Philip Sparke, with which they so nearly made history at Sage Gateshead in 2011.
