THE MUSIC PODCAST: 62 (TRAIL)

"Ciao, I’m Frank Renton and ensconced as I was for a very enjoyable break when I recorded this podcast in the Italian countryside, my next Music podcast here has a very Italian flavour.

All the music features either Italian musicians and composers, or is a celebration of this wonderful country itself.

So expect Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky and Puccini, music from film composer Nino Rota, the brilliant Gamalan Brass Quintet and a track from the debut CD of Luciano De Luca, the Principal Euphonium of the Italian Brass Band.

There are two firsts as well. Our own Philip McCann plays the first song ever expressly written for a recording company, and there’s the first and only music I know that’s ever been written about a Finicular railway.

So join me for this Italian special music podcast here on Frank Renton on Brass, and until then it’s Arrivederci!"
