"In this, my last music podcast of 2021 we start with a tale of two Philips; that’s composer Philip Sparke, and conductor Philip Harper.
There’s some lovely music from John Golland and Sir Edward Heath no less, gets to direct Black Dyke. There’s original brass music from the brilliant German group 10forBrass and I’ll be reliving one of my favourite CD’s that I made with Grimethorpe back in the 1980’s for EMI, which put the band alongside some of the finest of all ensembles and performers.
