THE MUSIC PODCAST: 89 (TRAIL)
"My latest Music Podcast includes music I actually haven’t heard since I conducted it with Grimethorpe some thirty years ago, which is a sad fact because The Lowrey Sketchbook is a typically brilliant piece of music by one of my favourite composers for the brass band, Philip Wilby.
I’ve got music from the critically acclaimed first album by Euphonium star Gary Curtin, there’s a classic Don Lusher, Gordon Langford collaboration plus the final movement of Edward Gregson’s trumpet concerto played by the dazzling Norwegian virtuoso Ole Edvard Antonson.
So, some wonderful music in this week’s Music Podcast.”
