One great advantage of putting these podcasts together is that I get to listen to some wonderful players who I admire greatly and hear some rarely heard musical gems.
So, in this podcast I’m featuring Swedish trombone virtuoso Hakan Bjorkman, the only piece of brass band music written by William Mathias, plus the combined talents of The LSO Brass playing possibly the most famous piece of music by Bach or anyone else for that matter. Led as ever by Eric Crees I think this recording is the very essence of sensational.
