THE MUSIC PODCAST : ONE (EXCERPT)

In our first music podcast, Frank recalls a visit to a London studio during a recording session by the aptly named and newly formed Superbrass, and we enjoy the stunning contemporary trombone sound of the Swedish virtuoso Hakan Bjorkman.

Grimethorpe play ‘their’ hymn Gresford a.k.a. The Miners Hymn, composer Jean Balissat proves that Switzerland produces something just as good as their clocks and we end with an all-time Frank Renton favourite, the classic Toccata, Oh The Blessed Lord by Wilfred Heaton played, as only they can, by the International Staff Band of the Salvation Army.
