Every week Frank selects his own favourite track of the week from our weekly Music Podcast, and it's free here on Frank Renton on Brass.

This week, Frank says about his choice,

"Track of the week this week is not only a terrific recording of great players, but a reminder of a wonderful day. On the 20th of June last year I was at the Henry Wood Hall in London to interview Edward Gregson, at the first recording session with London Brass of his Music for Symphonic Brass and Percussion.

Some of the music is pretty big and London Brass had augmented their normal line up with some great players, amongst them Philip Cobb and James Fountain, Richard Watkins, Michael Thompson and David Childs. I also got chance to say hello to Byron Fulcher Principal Trombone of the Philharmonia  Orchestra, who played for me at Grimethorpe for a time.

The playing under the baton of Rumon Gamba was nothing short of sensational, and the album is a great reminder of a wonderful day.........and the track, the first movement of Edward’s Symphony in Two Movements.

We hope you’ll enjoy our free track of the week - and then will join us on Frank Renton on Brass. It’s a lot less than £1 a week!
